Linh Tran
Linh is a professional with a Bachelor's degree in Biology & Chemistry and a Master's in Business Administration, both obtained from Duke University. With a career spanning over 25 years, he initially entered the financial services sector, specializing in structuring retirement plans, mutual funds, and 401(k)s. During this time, Linh collaborated extensively with entrepreneurs, helping them achieve their financial objectives for over a decade.

Subsequently, Linh diversified his ventures by acquiring multiple businesses in the services sector. Under his leadership, these companies experienced remarkable growth, scaling operations by a factor of 10. Linh also demonstrated proficiency in managing his private debt ladder and overseeing a successful private equity portfolio.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Linh is recognized as an expert in Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA). He frequently shares his insights at prestigious MBA schools, contributing to the discourse on this rapidly expanding niche within private equity. Linh has become a sought-after thought leader in the ETA domain, reflecting his wealth of experience and expertise.

Outside the realm of business, Linh finds joy and exhilaration in diverse pursuits. An avid racecar driver, surfer, pilot, and tennis player, he embraces life's adventures both in the boardroom and on various playing fields.

David Madden
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, launching his career as an engineer and consultant within the automotive industry. Seeking further expertise, he pursued a Master's in Business Administration at Georgia Tech, where he distinguished himself as a TI:GER fellow, focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation, and venture capital investing.
During his time at business school, David demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by founding an online marketplace for used industrial equipment, building it "bootstrapped" from scratch. The venture, established in 2006, has thrived and maintains its position as the market leader in its niche.
With years of experience in private equity and venture capital, David has made strategic investments in startup companies and facilitated private placements to support Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) buyouts. His profound understanding spans private markets, online commerce, marketplaces, and business-to-business software. David's multifaceted expertise reflects his commitment to innovation and success in the business landscape.

David is also an avid enthusiast of exhilarating pursuits. With a shared passion for the fast-paced world, David is not just a strategic mind in the business realm but also a skilled racecar driver and surfer. In the business landscape, David brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, complementing his venturesome spirit with a keen strategic insight.
Together with Linh, David forms a dynamic partnership that seamlessly integrates the adrenaline of racecar driving and the rhythm of surfing with the strategic acumen required in the business world. Their shared passion for both the fast track and the open water not only defines their professional collaboration but also underscores their zest for life beyond the boardroom.
OUR STORY
David and Linh, both fervent entrepreneurs and investors, engage in frequent discussions about investment and business strategies within a community of like-minded entrepreneurs affiliated with Entrepreneur's Organization and YPO. Together, they have taken the helm of an investment "club," drawing in substantial investments totaling millions of dollars from fellow entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals. As the club's membership and the scope of its investments have expanded, so too has the operational workload required to effectively manage them.
